Movement – this gilt full plate fusee movement has a Massey III type escapement and gilt and blue steel bi metallic balance wheel. The movement also features a large diamond endstone and a stop start lever. The movement is signed “Rob’t Roskell, Liverpool, 47792”. The movement is in 90% mint condition – very clean. The movement is protected by a gilt dust cap.
Case – the movement comes in an early style Hunter case, which is thicker and deeper than later fusee Hunter cases. The front cover only pops open a few degrees when you press the button on the stem in and then has to be opened manually the rest of the way. The case is decorated with coin edged sides and has a smooth plain finish on the front and back. The case does show basic wear and tear due to the age of the case but is still a good example
Dial – the white enamel dial has a large flush sub seconds hand with a stop start mechanism. The dial is signed “Rob’t Roskell” and is in 100% mint condition.
