This is a massive Goliath and much bigger than normal. It is Swiss made and was made circa 1910 The watch was retailed by the Silversmiths and Goldsmiths Company, London and comes with its original leather Desk case. The case has a hinged front and a strut at the back. The brown case is lined with blue velvet and blue silk. The box is signed “By Appointment to HM The King, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company Ltd, 112 Regent St, London, W” The case is a bit faded and worn on the leather and the velvet inside has worn inside and is a bit grey and scuffed. However this is still an impressive piece and is still in very good presentable condition. The box measures 120mm high x 11mm wide x 37mm deep The watch is running well and keeps excellent time over several days. I do not think it is an 8 day watch but it does run for several days on one wind Movement – the large gilt ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement, 15 jewels and is in pristine mint condition

Case – the massive metal case has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish. The inside of the bezel is gold colored, which gives a nice contrast against the dial The case is in 85% mint condition – micro fine scratches only

Dial – the white enamel dial is signed “, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company Ltd, 112 Regent St, London, W” and the dial is in 99% mint condition – exceptionally clean The watch has its original mineral glass, which is in excellent condition.
