13.30 Massive Staffordshire Flat Back Pocket Watch Stand. Circa 1840

This is a Massive Staffordshire flat back pocket watch stand is in the form of a castle with steps leading up to a central door within an arch flanked by two gothic towers. The castle has two pairs of turrets and has faux foliage climbing up the sides. Plus several faux windows and good brick work detailing. The style of the castle is different to most Staffordshire examples; this one being unusual with the holes in the turrets for candles and scent and also the way the windows have been realised The castle has a central aperture and cup which will hold most fusee pocket watches. The stand measures 290mm x 90mm on the base x 300mm high, The stand is in 75% mint condition chips on the turrets, represented in the price
