The watch has been cleaned and serviced and will keep good time. However this pocket watch does not run the full length of its chain and works for a couple hours only. So needs to be constantly wound. If it is kept wound though, the watch is fine. This problem is reflected in the price and the watch is sold “as is” The watch has clear English silver hallmarks for London 1818 Movement – the gilt full plate fusee movement has a pierced cock and is signed “French, Opposite the Exchange, Bristol” # 7943. The movement also has a working stop, start mechanism for the sub seconds dial. The movement is in 90% mint condition – very clean

Inner case – the silver inner case has a hinged bezel and the movement swings out from the front and is wound from the back. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – very clean Outer case – the silver and matching outer case has a smooth plain finish also and is in 90% mint condition – some slight wear and tear and the case button has lost its dome. The watch comes with a nice old watch paper

Dial – the Doctors dial has a sub secs, used for taking a pulse, with a stop, start lever. The dial is in 98% mint condition – some very faint marks only.
