The watch has been cleaned and serviced and keeps excellent time. It runs the full length of its chain and keeps time to within 15 minutes a day Movement – the gilt full plate verge movement has a finely pierced watch cock with an engraved foot. The movement is also decorated with engraving and features a hand “pointing” at the silver regulator disc. The movement is signed “Jas Williams, London” # 13508 and is in 90% mint condition – a few scratches around the movement pins

Inner case – the movement comes in an English silver inner case, which has a hinged bezel and the movement swings out from the front. The watch is wound from the back and set from the front. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – a light groove from the outer and general light wear and tear Outer case – the original and matching outer case has a smooth plain finish. The back of the case has a light hand engraved H Philpott (this could easily be polished out) The case has also lost the tip of the case button and is in 85% mint condition overall The case comes with a regular watch paper – “Spurrier, Tewskbury” and also a hand sewn watch paper with a delicate border and in the centre are the engraved initials “JN” and “1811”

Dial – the white enamel dial has gilt hands and is in 99% mint condition – light speckle marks only The watch has a mineral glass which is a little scuffed and scratched
