This is a Swiss pocket watch made circa 1870, which bears a spurious signature of T F Cooper, London.
Movement – the gilt bridge movement has a steel compensated balance wheel and a lever escapement. The movement is in 95% mint condition – a clean example
Case – the movement comes in a Swiss silver Hunter case, which has a hinged back and front cover. The case also has a hinged gilt metal inner, which is signed “Patent Lever, Full Jewelled, T F Cooper, London”.
The front cover of the watch pops open when you press the button on the stem in. The case has coin edged sides and a smooth plain finish on the back and front. The case is in 80% mint condition – there is wear and tear but this is still good Hunter case.
Dial – the white enamel dial is signed T F Cooper and is in 90% mint condition – there are some flakes and chips right on the edge of the dial, mostly under the bezel by the 3.
