This is a large gilt – NOT Gold - pocket watch key made circa 1850
The key is unusual as it is set with two inverted triangular shaped stones.
One side has a red / orange stone. The other has a pale green stone
The shank of the key is also an inverted triangular shape with carved floral edges
The key has suspension loop which turns a full 360 degrees
The key has a good winding square and is a size 5 – 6 approx. The steel winding pipe is covered with a gilt casing which does have a fine split but does not effect the winding of the watch
The key measures 44mm high x 16mm wide x 11mm deep
The key is in 90% mint condition – the split on the pipe and general wear and tear but is in excellent condition overall.
