This is a 15K gold cased pocket watch key made circa 1810 The key has an internal metal frame and then has a thick layer of gold applied on top The key has a very unusual design with a thick oval frame in the middle and then topped with strut work on the top and bottom The key has a suspension loop which rotates a full 360 degrees The key has a steel winding square within a sleeve of gold case. The key is a size 3-4 and has a good square end The key measures 38mm long x 12mm wide x 3mm deep The key is in 90% mint condition – you can see the seams of metal and gold but overall is in excellent condition.
