The movement has a good spring and balance
Movement – the good quality nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Elgin Nat’l Watch Co, USA, 17 Jewels” 28472743 and is in 80% mint condition – many fine scratches
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and has a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Elgin” and is in 80% mint condition – many hairlines in the centre.
The movement measures 43mm x 7.8mm
