This an American pocket watch made by the Rockford Watch Co, circa 1902

Movement – the good quality nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator. The movement is decorated with damascening and has raised gold jewel settings. The movement is signed “R.W.Co, Rockford, Ill, 17 Jewels, Adjusted” # 585865. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case by Keystone which has a screw off back and bezel. The inside cover is hand engraved “J G Smit” and decorated with hand engraved flowers. The outside of the case is decorated with beaded edges and floral engraving. The case is in 85% mint condition – the engraving on the back is a little rubbed and the bottom edge of the case has metal coming through the gold plating
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of delicate blue steel hands and is signed “Rockford Watch Co”. The dial is in 98% mint condition – a very faint hairline in the centre and some light rubbing on the edge of the dial
The watch has a plastic glass
The watch measures 55mm wide x 18mm deep
The watch is stem wound / lever set.
