This is an official American Railroad pocket watch made by the Hamilton Watch Co.
Movement – this high grade ¾ plate nickel movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and a gold capped escape wheel. The movement also has gold train wheels, raised gold jewel settings and is decorated with striped damascening. The movement is signed “Hamilton Watch Co, USA, 992B, 21 Jewels, Adj Temp & Six positions” # C54288. The movement is in 95% mint condition – superb condition
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated two piece open face case by Keystone, which has a screw off bezel and the watch swings out from the front. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – there is some wear on the winder
Dial – the white enamel double sunk dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Hamilton, Railway Special”. The dial is in 95% mint condition – a small chip on the edge near the lever and also another on the 7
The watch has a bevelled synthetic glass
The watch is stem wound / lever set
The watch measures 53mm x 14mm deep
