This is an American Railroad grade pocket watch made by the Waltham Watch Co and sent to England where it was cased and sold
Movement – this is a top quality nickel bridge movement with a lever escapement and a micrometer regulator. The movement has raised gold jewel settings, gold train wheels, a gold capped lever and a diamond endstone. The movement is decorated with damascening and is signed “Vanguard, Waltham, Mass, USA, 23 Jewels, Adjusted 6 positions, Lossier Inner Terminal Hairspring” # 25340306. The movement is in 95% mint condition – superb condition
Case – the movement comes in an English gold plated open face case by Dennison which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The case a smooth plain finish and is in 95% condition – a very crisp gold plated case
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Waltham, USA”. The dial has a wind indicator under the 12 and is in 95% mint condition - a very small hairline from the sub seconds to the 7, a faint hairline on the 10 and a tiny hairline below the sub seconds to the edge of the dial
The watch measures 50mm wide x 12mm deep
