This is an American pocket watch movement was made by Waltham USA & exported to the UK, for use on the British London Brighton & South Coast Railway. The silver English silver case has hallmarks for Birmingham 1912
Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement, is decorated with damascening and is signed “American Waltham Watch Co, 15 Jewels, Non Magnetic” # 17924971 and is in 90% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in an English silver open face case, which has a hinged bezel, inner and back cover.. The case has a smooth plain finish and the inner is engraved “London Brighton & South Coast Railway 752”. The case is in 85% mint condition – the bow has been replaced and there are some bruises and dents
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Waltham, USA”. The dial is in 99% mint condition
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch measures 55mm wide x 19mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
