This is a very rare private label pocket watch made by the Hamilton Watch Co, USA.
This is a Railroad grade pocket watch made for the St Louis firm of Mermod and Jaccards
Movement – the nickel full plate Grade 942, model 1movement has a lever escapement and a micrometer regulator. The movement has unusual gold coloured screws, regulator etc and the script is also in gold colour, making it slightly hard to see on the photos. The movement is signed “Mermods & Jaccards, St Louis, Paragon Time-Keeper, 21 Jewels, Adjusted” # 434501. The movement also features the hour glass trade mark logo.
The movement is in 90% mint condition – small scratches and marks
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The case is in 95% mint condition – superb condition
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk with a full set of blue steel hands and red five minute marks. The dial is signed “Mermods & Jaccards, St Louis, Paragon Time-Keeper” and again features the hour glass trade mark. The dial unfortunately is in 80% mint condition with a chip on the enamel around the lever. This has not gone down to the copper and is also partially hidden by the bezel but this is a shame as the rest of the dial including the hands are in perfect flawless condition
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 54mm wide x 17mm deep
The watch is stem wound / lever set.
