This is a large American pocket watch, very sturdy and practical
Movement – the gilt full plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Elgin Nat’l Watch Co, Elgin, Ill” # 5921425. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a white metal which has a screw on bezel. You then pull out the winder and swing the movement out from the front. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – some light scratches on the inside of the case denoting service etc and light wear externally.
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and signed “Elgin Nat’l Watch Co”. The dial is in 95% mint condition – light marks on the edges and a faint forked crack on the 3 leading to the sub seconds
The watch has a thick beveled mineral glass
The watch measures 58mm wide x 20mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
