This is a scarce 18 size 23 jewel rail road grade pocket watch by the Hamilton Watch Co.
Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator, raised gold jewel settings and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Hamilton Watch Co, Lancaster, Pa, 23 Jewels, 946, Double Roller, Motor Barrel, Adjusted 5 positions” # 438601 and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case. The case has a screw off back and bezel and is decorated with coin edged sides, engine turning and a small crest on the back with an engraved initial - G. The case is in 95% mint condition – super crisp condition
Dial – the white enamel Montgomery dial is double sunk with a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed "Hamilton Watch Co” and is in 100% mint condition.
