This is an American pocket watch made by Waltham and was made for the Canadian military.
Movement – nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “American, Waltham, Tempus, USA, 7 Jewels” #21776402. The movement is in 90% mint condition – some scratches and marks.
Case – the movement comes in a white metal nickel silver open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The case is engraved on the back “C.S.T.P, 4861-C” and also a larger C with a military arrow. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 85% mint condition – some small scratches around the edges and light surface scratches and marks om the back.
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Waltham USA”. The dial is in 80% mint condition – a hairline from the 10 to 8, another from 2 to the centre seconds and a flake on the side at the 3, mostly hidden by the bezel
The watch has a synthetic glass
The watch measures 52mm wide x 13mm deep
