This is an American pocket watch made by Waltham circa 1888
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever esapement and a micrometer regulator. The 15 Jewel movement is signed “A.W.W.Co. Waltham, Mass”. # 7062161 and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a coin silver and metal case with gold inlay. The middle core is gold plated with a metal hinged inner. The two outer covers are coin silver and the front cover pops open crisply to 90 degrees when you press the winder in.
The case has carved edges and the two silver covers are decorated with gold inlay. The back cover shows a stag in rose gold with green, yellow and pink gold flowers. The front cover has a pink gold crest surrounded by three colour gold leaves and flowers. The case is in 95% mint condition – a lovely example
Dial – the white enamel dial has fine blue steel hands and a sub seconds hand. The dial is signed “American Waltham Watch Co” and is in 95% mint condition – two light hairlines at the 11 and 4
The watch has a synthetic glass
The watch measures 52mm wide x 15mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
