This is a 12 size 21 Jewel American pocket watch and is one of the higher grade 12s Illinois pocket watches
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and a micrometer regulator. The movement has gold train wheels, gold capped lever and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Illinois Watch Co, Springfield. 21 Jewels, Adjusted 3 positions, Penn Special” # 3294660 The movement is in 90% mint condition – small marks only
Case – the movement comes in a 14K gold filled open face square shaped case, which has a snap on back and bezel. The inner cover is signed “Elgin Tivoli”. The case has a smooth plain finish with carved edges and a monogram on the back. The case is in 95% mint condition – light marks only
Dial – the silvered dial has a brushed metal outer chapter ring and a beautiful raised engine turned pattern in the centre and a pair of fancy blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Illinois” and is in 100% mint
