This is an 18 size 15 Jewel pocket watch by Hampden Watch Co 1882
Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement with an unusual patent regulator. The movement is signed “Hampden Watch Co, Springfield, Mass, Pat. Pinion, 15” # 237162 and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a white metal ore silver coloured case by Fahys.
The case has a screw off back and bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish with milled sides and is in 90% mint condition – some wear on the winder. The case is an open face case and the movement is a hunter; hence why the winder is positioned at 3 instead of 12.
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Hampden Watch Co”. The dial is in 99% mint condition
The watch is stem wound / lever set
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 55mm wide x 19mm deep.
