Waltham pocket watch with revolving seconds. With Box c1924

This vintage Waltham pocket watch is in the typical Art Deco style with an elegant slim profile gold filled case and an unusual dial which has a partially revealed disc which as it revolves indicates the seconds.

Movement – the nickel bridge movement has a lever escapement with a compensated balance, a micrometer regulator, raised gold jewel settings and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Waltham, USA, Riverside, 5 pos Adjusted, 21 Jewels” # 24386173. The movement is in 99% mint condition – superb condition

Case – the movement comes in a 14K gold filled case which has a snap on back and bezel. The case has carved edges and a smooth plain finish on the back. The case is in 95% mint condition – superb condition

Dial – the silvered dial has a pair of fancy blue steel hands and raised gilt numbers. The dial has a brushed outer chapter ring with a centre with a satin finish. The dial has a partially revealed disc which as it rotates indicated the seconds. The dial is signed “Waltham” and is in 95% mint condition – some very small marks
