This is an American pocket watch made by the Elgin Nat’l Watch Company.
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Elgin Nat’l Watch Co, USA” # 25463049 and is in 90% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a 14K white gold filled open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The case is decorated with chased edges and engine turning on the back. The case is in 85% mint – 2 light bruises on the back.
Dial – the matt silvered dial has fancy blue steel numbers and is signed “Elgin”. The dial is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a synthetic glass
The watch measures 44mm wide x 14mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch comes in a red leather Art Deco style box lined with silk and red velvet.
