This is an American Railroad pocket watch made by the Illinois Watch co circa 1921
Movement – the high grade nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator, gold train wheels and gold jewel settings. The movement is signed “Bunn Special, Illinois Watch Co, Springfield, Motor Barrel, 23 Jewels, Adjusted Temp and 6 positions, 3604442”. The movement is in 90% mint condition – many small marks
Case – the movement comes in a 10K gold filled Bunn Special case, which has a screw on back and bezel. The case a smooth plain finish, with engine turning on the bezel and is in 90% mint condition – some metal coming through the gilding on the edge
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and has a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Illinois” and is in 85% mint condition – several hairlines in the centre and a small flake below the 6 on the edge of the dial
The watch measures 50mm x 14mm deep
The watch has a synthetic glass
The watch is stem wound / lever set
