This is an 18s 17J pocket watch made by the Hamilton Watch Co, USA
Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator. The movement is decorated with damascening and is signed “Hamilton Watch Co, Lancaster Pa, 17 Jewels, Adjusted” # 970877 . The movement is in 90% mint condition – some small marks. There is also one plate screw missing
Case – the movement comes in a metal open face case, which has a screw on back and front bezel. The movement is decorated with a gold inlay stag on the reverse and engraved with initials WJB
The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – a really good case but the bow has been replaced and there is one nick on the back of the case also
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk with red five minute marks. It has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Hamilton Watch Co”. The dial is in 90% mint condition – a filled flake on the edge of the dial by the lever.
