This is a hunter model in an open face case with a special transition dial hence the sub seconds being at the 3 position
This grade 261 has a total production run of 800
Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a micrometer regulator and is signed “Elgin Nat’l Watch Co, 15 Jewels” # 8723937. The movement is in 85% mint condition – several small marks.
Case – the movement comes in a white metal open face case, which has a screw off bezel and the movement swings out from the front of the case. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 80% mint condition – 1 small ding on the back and many fine scratches
Dial – the silvered transitional dial has a sub seconds at the 3 and a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Elgin” and is in 75% mint condition – many fine scratches and marks and loss of enamel on the numerals
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch measures 58mm wide x 20mm deep
The watch is stem wound / lever set
