This watch is running and keeping good time but hasn’t been cleaned and serviced.
This is a hunter model in an open face case hence the winder being at the 3 position
Movement – the nickel full plate M1892 movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator. The movement has raised gold jewel settings, is decorated with damascening and has a diamond endstone. The movement is signed “Vangaurd, Waltham, Mass, 21 Jewels, Adjusted 5 positions” # 14056009 and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a sterling silver case, which has a screw off bezel and the movement swings out from the front. The back of the case is decorated with a gold inlay scene of a saw mill. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 75% mint condition – the winder has lost its wire coating and there is considerable wear on the gold inlay
Dial – the white enamel is double sunk and comes with a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Waltham”. The dial is in 99% mint condition
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch measures 58mm wide x 19mm deep
The watch is stem wound / lever set
