This is a HUNTER movement cased in an open face case.
Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement with a micrometer regulator and gold jewel settings. The movement is decorated with damascening and is signed “HWCo, Canton, Ohio, New Railway, 17 Jewels” # 1285622. The movement is in 80% mint condition – scratches and dirt
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case, which has a screw on back and bezel. The case has floral engraving and is in 50% mint condition – the back is covered with some form of lacquer and the case is quite ugly
Dial – the white enamel dial is double sunk and comes with a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Hampden Watch Co” and is in 99% mint condition – dirt only
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch is stem wound / lever set
The watch measures 54mm wide x 17mm deep
