This pocket watch was made in the USA by Waltham and sent to England where it was cased and sold
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate 7 jewel movement has a lever escapement and signed “American. Waltham USA, Traveler” # 15385806 and is in 95% mint condition.
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated open face case by Dennison, which has a hinged inner, back and snap on bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 50% mint condition – significant rubbing on the back and visible areas of where the gold plating is missing
Dial – the scarce white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Waltham”
It is an unusual dial for Waltham with tumbling Arabic numbers and is similar to dials signed by O’Hara. This is signed Swiss made on reverse.
The dial and hands are in 100% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass - scratched
The watch measures 50mm wide x 15mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
