This watch runs well and keeps good time but has not been cleaned or serviced by us for a few years and so has been discounted in price and we are selling "as is"
This movement was made in America by Waltham, it was sent to England where it was cases and sold. The watch case has clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1889
Movement – the gilt ¾ plate model 1888 movement has a lever escapement with a Tadpole regulator. The movement has 15 Jewels and is signed “A.W.W.Co. Waltham, Mass, Royal” # 4970804. The movement is in 90% mint condition – light marks only
Case – the movement comes in a silver open face case, which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 80% mint condition – small dings and bruises.
Dial – the off white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Watch & Chronometer Manufacturers, Fattorini & Sons, Bradford”. The dial is in 99% mint condition.
