This is an American pocket watch made by the Illinois Watch Co
The watch is working well but has not been cleaned or serviced and so is sold with no warranty
Movement – the gilt full plate movement has a lever escapement, 15 Jewels and a Patent Chalmers regulator. The movement is signed “Illinois Watch Co, Springfield, Ill, Chalmers Pat 12.19.82” # 710659. The movement is in 90% mint condition – a few small scratches
Case – the movement comes in a gold plated hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover pops open to 90 degrees when you press the winder in. The case is decorated with floral engraving and engine turning. The case is in 75% mint condition – the detailing is clear but the case has lost its gold colour and is brassy
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is decorated with a pink enamel chapter ring with gold enamel points in between each number. The dial also has enamel flowers in the centre and is signed “M W Co, Springfield”. The dial is in 90% mint condition – there is a crack on the bottom edge of the dial from the 4-7 and through the sub seconds dial
