This watch has a good balance but the winding square is not engaging with the spring and just rotates with no tension.
The value in this watch is in the high silver case it comes with. My recommendation would be to find another working 18s KW KS movement and exchange it for the current movement.
The watch is not working and is sold with no warranty
Movement – the gilt full plate movement has a lever escapement with 15 jewels. The movement is signed “G M Wheeler, Elgin, Ill” # 1674896 and is in 90% mint condition – tarnish
Case – the movement comes in a silver hunter case marked 5, denoting the 5 ounces. The watch comes in a silver hunter which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front cover just pops open a few degrees. The case has some engraving on the front and a a smooth plain finish on the rest of the case. The case is in 85% mint condition – some wear but still an impressive case.
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Elgin” The dial is in 90% mint condition
