This is a rare chronograph pocket watch made by the New York Standard watch co.
The watch is not working. The balance is overbanked and seized but the spring is OK and the watch complete
Movement – the nickel 7 Jewel lever movement has exposed steel work for a start, stop and fly back and reset chronograph function. The movement is signed “New York Standard Watch Co, USA, 7 Jewels” and is in 90% mint condition – light scratches
Case – the movement comes in a 10K gold filled open face case which has a screw off back and bezel. The case is engraved on the back with an image of the famous American Standard bred pacer in harness racing, Dan Patch. The rest of the case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition
Dial – the silvered dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “Dan Patch, Stop Watch”. The dial is in 100% mint condition
The watch is stem wound / stem set
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 50mm wide x 14mm deep
