This wrist watch is running but due to the wear on the case, I have not had it serviced; instead I am listing it at a cheap realistic price but please note it does not come with a warranty
This is an American wristwatch from the 1950s. Please note that this watch is much smaller than watches made today.
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Elgin 682-USA, 17 Jewels, I786331”. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a two piece 10K Gold plated bezel with a metal back, which is signed “Elgin”. The case has curved lugs with a curved glass. The case is in 80% mint condition – on each lug there are small amounts of metal coming through on the high points – this is reflected in the price
Dial – the satin finish metal dial has gilt hands and is signed “Elgin”. The dial is in 99% mint condition.
The watch measures 34mm from lug to lug x 23mm wide and is 8mm deep including the crystal.
