This wrist watch is fully wound but not running. The balance is not swinging freely
This is an American wristwatch from the 1950s. Please note that this watch is much smaller than watches made today.
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Elgin 670-USA, 21 Jewels, Adj, S610089”. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a two piece 10K 14K Gold filled case with a snap on bezel. The case has curved sides and lugs with a curved glass. The case is in 85% mint condition – there are small amounts of metal coming through on the high points but overall a stunning case
Dial – the satin finish metal dial has gilt hands and numbers and is signed “Lord Elgin”. The dial is in 99% mint condition.
The watch measures 35mm from lug to lug x 25mm wide and is 10mm deep including the crystal.
