This is an 18 size 17 Jewel American pocket watch.
The watch is working but the winding sometimes slips. It has NOT been cleaned or serviced and is sold with no warranty
The movement is a hunter movement in an open face case and the case is a very useful piece to house another movement
Movement – the nickel full plate movement has a lever escapement and is decorated with damascening. The movement is signed “Elgin Nat’l Watch Co, USA 17 Jewels” # 16070999 The movement is in 90% mint condition – small marks and missing case screws
Case – the movement comes in a white metal ore silver open face case, which has a screw off back and bezel. The case is decorated with milled sides and smooth plain finish on the rest of the case. The case is in 85% mint condition – some light scratches and small dents and nicks but still a good case
Dial – the white enamel dial has blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Elgin” and is in 99% mint condition
The watch has a mineral glass
The watch measures 56mm wide x 20mm deep
The watch is stem wound / lever set
