This is a large gilt metal pocket watch stand suitable for French and English verges of the 1800-1830
The stand has a massive gilt metal base in the form of a flight of steps leading to a Roman pillar and aperture for the watch with a carved support. The stand is then decorated with pikes and spears in high relief, with swords, trumpets and right in the top a Centurion
The stand is beautifully detailed
It measures 290mm x 130mm x 60mm and is in 95% mint condition
