This is a highly decorative pocket watch stand made in Staffordshire circa 1880
The stand has an alabaster round base which supports the mount for the stand. The stand is made up of a figure of a boy in Parian ware pottery with painted pale blue highlights and detail. To the rear is a gilt metal support for a pocket watch – best suited to ladies sized watches
This also has a bell affixed to the stand with a hammer. The hammer used to have a spring, which is now faulty but the bell can still be rung
The stand measures 120mm high x 90mm wide and is in 90% mint condition – no damage to the stand but the spring on the bell is faulty
