This box carved watch stand is unusual in that the decoration on the front is in high relief.
Normally these type of watch stands are carved or if the decoration is in high relief, the core of the decoration is more rooted to the stand. This stand is decorated with leaves and a nut all in high relief.
The rest of the stand is carved. The lid is hinged to the watch holder with a velvet lined recess for a watch 48mm wide.
The stands when folded together measures 95mm x 58mm x 28mm and is in 90% mint condition – a crack on the back
