In over 30 years of dealing with pocket watches and pocket watch accessories, it still delights me that I can see something new. This fob came from an esteemed collection of watch fobs and is a Japanese gunmetal scent bottle in miniature, decorated with Shibyama work and which would have hung on a chatelaine.
This is a gunmetal miniature scent bottle in the shape of a gourd. It is decorated with a marbled effect to the metal one and silver shibyama work on the other.
The scent bottle has a screw on top and also a band around the centre with a beautifully formed suspension loop. Both are highly gilded so they look like solid gold
The scent bottle measures 20mm x 12mm and is in 100% mint condition
