This is an English silver stamp case with hallmarks for Birmingham 1912 and maker's marks for ALS. The stamp case also has a Patent registration mark for Rd. 540975. The case hinges open like a book and inside are carved border frames which would hold the stamps in place. The case has a smooth plain finish. The stamp case has a silver strut mount and fixed suspension loop and can be hung on a watch chain. It measures 30mm long x 23mm wide x 7mm deep. The stamp case is in 75% mint condition - some wear and tear with small dings but still an attractive piece and a perfect watch chain accessory
