This watch has a fusee chain driven movement. These types of movements are extremely fragile and it is very easy to break the fusee chain if you have never handled one of these watches before and so consequently we do not cover this costly repair in the warranty.
Movement – the gilt full plate verge movement has square baluster pillars, a fusee chain, a verge escapement. The movement has a silver top plate with a pierced edge, a silver watch cock with a beautiful pierced work and also glazed over the balance. The movement also has a blue steel regulator and is signed “J Moore, Liverpool” # 55. The movement is in 95% mint condition
Inner case – the movement comes in an inner case, which has a hinged bezel and the watch is wound from the back, set from the front and is accessed from the front also. The case has its original bow and stem. It has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition
Outer case – the original and matching outer case has its original clasp. It has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – a few very bruises on the back and the button dome has worn away which is common on verge outer cases
Dial – the white enamel dial has its original pair of blue steel beetle and poker hands and is in 99% mint condition – a few honest scratches
The watch has a domed mineral glass
The watch measures 51mm wide x 28mm high including the glass
