This is a Swiss pocket watch movement which was sent to the UK where it was cased and sold. It comes in an English silver case with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1919
Movement – the good quality 15 Jewel nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement. The movement is signed “Limit, Swiss Made” and is in 90% mint condition.
Case – the movement comes in a good quality English silver Dennison open face case which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The heavy case is marked 2 oz. The inner cover is engraved with the retailer’s name in small script on the bottom edge “Percy Cross, Brigg”
The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – super clean condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands. The dial is signed “Vertex, Swiss Made” and is in 100% mint condition
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass.
The watch measures 52mm x 15mm.
