This pocket watch was made by J W Benson of London in their Swiss factory. The movement watch was sent back to England where it was cased and sold. It comes in a top quality English silver case which has clear hallmarks for London 1932
Movement – the gilt bridge movement has a lever escapement and is signed “J W Benson, 15 Jewels, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 95% mint condition – very clean
Case – the movement comes in an English silver Benson open face case, which has a hinged inner and back cover and a snap on bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “J W Benson, London, Swiss Made”. The dial is in 90% mint condition – 2 very faint hairlines.
The watch is stem wound / stem Set
The watch measures 48mm wide
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass.
The watch comes in its original leather box lined with silk and velvet, signed “J W Benson, Ltd”
