This pocket watch was made by J W Benson of London in their Swiss factory. The movement watch was sent back to England where it was cased and sold. It comes in a top quality English silver case which has clear hallmarks for London 1937
Movement – the gilt bridge movement has a lever escapement and is signed “J W Benson, 15 Jewels, Swiss Made”. The movement is in 90% mint condition – light marks
Case – the movement comes in an English silver Dennison open face case, which has a hinged inner, back cover and bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – a very clean case externally but some old polish marks on the inner cover and inside the back cover
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “J W Benson, London, Swiss Made”. The dial is in 95% mint condition – two ultra feint hairlines in the centre of the dial

The watch measures 48mm wide x 14mm deep
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch comes in its original blue leather box, lined with silk and velvet, signed “J W Benson, Ltd”
