Movement – the top quality gilt full plate fusee movement has a Massey I escapement. It has a steel balance, a diamond endstone and is jewelled. The movement also has a stop start slide on the side of the movement. The movement is signed “R N Cox, Pickering, 260” and is in 90% mint condition – a very clean looking movement but there are some scratches.

The movement has its original dust cap

Case – the movement comes in an English silver open face case, which has a hinged back and bezel. The watch is wound from the back, set from the front and is accessed from the front also. The deep silver case has evidence of engine turning on the edges but this has rubbed away. The rest of the case a smooth plain finish and is in 90% mint condition – light signs of wear on this lovely example of an English silver case

Dial – the off white enamel dial has a pair of golds hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. The dial is in 100% mint condition
