The watch has clear English silver hallmarks for Chester 1824
This watch has a fusee chain driven movement. These types of movements are extremely fragile and it is very easy to break the fusee chain if you have never handled one of these watches before and so consequently we do not cover this costly repair in the warranty.
Movement – the gilt full plate verge movement has a fusee chain, a verge escapement and a beautifully pierced and engraved watch cock. The movement also has a silver regulator disc and is signed “Robt Kell, Liverpool” #. 3923 The movement is in 95% mint condition
Inner case – the movement comes in an inner case, which has a hinged bezel and the watch is wound from the back, set from the front and is accessed from the front also. The case has its original bow and stem. It has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition
Outer case – the original and matching outer case has its original button and clasp. It has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – minor damage on the button
Dial – the off white enamel dial has its original pair of gilt hands and is in 100% mint condition – small marks only
The watch has a bulls eye mineral glass
The watch measures 57mm wide x 22mm high including the glass
