This is an American pocket watch movement which was sent to the UK where it was cased and sold. It comes in an English silver case with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1924
Movement – the nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and a micrometer regulator. The movement is signed “AWWCo, Waltham, Mass, 17 Jewels” # 16759668 and is in 95% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a heavy 2 oz English silver Dennison open face case which has a hinged inner, back and bezel. The case has coin edged sides, engine turning and a vacant cartouche. The case is in 95% mint condition – super clean condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has a pair of gilt hands and a blue steel sub seconds hand. The dial is in 85% mint condition – faint forked hairlines on the 12 and 3.
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass.
The watch measures 52mm.
