This is an exceptional example of a silver fusee pocket watch of this time. Everything is superb from the case, movement to the gold hands on the dial

The watch has clear hallmarks for London 1822

Movement – the gilt full plate fusee movement has a lever escapement with a steel 3 arm balance wheel and a large diamond endstone. The movement has an ornately pierced watch cock. The movement is signed “B. Lautier, Bridge Street, Bath” 506 and is in 95% mint condition – a superb movement.

The movement has its original gilt dust cap

Case – the movement comes in an English silver open face case, which has a hinged back and bezel and the watch is wound from the back, set from the front and swings out from the front also. The case has coin edged sides and a smooth plain finish. The case is in 95% mint condition – a really good example of an early English silver consular case

Dial – the off white enamel dial has a superb pair of gilt hands and a superb example of a blue steel and gilt subsidiary seconds hand also. The dial is signed “Patent” and is in 100% mint condition

The watch has a mineral glass

The watch measures 51mm wide x 20mm deep
