This is a Swiss pocket watch made for use on the British Railways and is marked BR (M) 19271 – British Rail Midlands
Movement – nickel ¾ plate movement has a lever escapement and is signed “Limit No2, 15 Jewels, Swiss Made” and is in 90% mint condition
Case – the movement comes in a base metal open face case, which has a screw on back and bezel. The case has a smooth plain finish and is engraved on the back “BR (M) 19271”. The case is in 90% mint condition – 2 small nicks on the back apart from those, in excellent condition
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands bit no seconds hand. The dial is signed “Limit, Swiss Made”. The dial is in 80% mint condition – two faint hairlines
The watch has a bevelled mineral glass
The watch measures 54mm wide x 16mm deep
The watch is stem wound / stem set
