This pocket watch has clear hallmarks for Chester 1899
This watch runs but the case spring and latch are missing. The front cover will not pop open and also not stay closed; it has not been cleaned or serviced and is sold with no warranty
Movement – gilt ¾ plate movement has a compensated balance with a lever escapement. The movement is signed “G E Frodsham, 31 Gracechurch St, EC & 54 Piccadilly, London, 1931/1363. The movement is in 95% mint condition – excellent condition
Case – the movement comes in an English silver full hunter case, which has a hinged inner, back and front cover. The front case spring is missing and so the front cover can only be opened manually and will not stay closed. The case has a smooth plain finish and is in 95% mint condition – the case is in superb condition but has no case spring / latch
Dial – the white enamel dial has a full set of blue steel hands and is signed “G E Frodsham, 54 Piccadilly, London”. The dial is in 99% mint condition
The watch has a synthetic glass
The watch measures 53mm wide x 14m deep
The watch is stem wound / pin set
